The Grand Street Business Improvement District submitted a report on the physical infrastructure along the six-block business corridor (between Bushwick and Union Avenues) on Grand Street. Above, are depicted the deteriorating conditions that are in urgent need of repair. The request for new curbs, road, gutters and sidewalks is due to the broken and unleveled sidewalks that are compounded with cracked curbs and potholes on the road. Moreover, the commercial district desperately needs a revitalization of its landscape that includes the planting and pruning of trees on Grand Street. The BID will pursue the assistance of elected officials and city administrators to achieve the capital improvement objective on Grand Street.
